He was born in New Carlisle, Quebec on 18 Jan 1851 (New Carlisle and Paspébiac Anglican Church, 1811-1884, M177/23, Protonotaire Bonaventure) and died in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin on 5 Feb 1934. (Obituary, Oconto Falls Herald, 8 Feb 1934) His parents were James Flowers and Margaret Thompson of New Carlisle.

While living in Oconto and Oconto Falls, William Henry Flowers "operated [logging] camps in Northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan." (Obituary, Oconto Falls Herald, 8 Feb 1934)
