The Will of Alice Pennington, 28 January 1832

In the name of God Amen

I Alice Pennington wife to the late Robert Flowers of New Carlisle County of Bonaventure and inferior district of Gaspe who am weak of body but sound of memory and understanding Do hereby make this my last will & Testament.

I first of all Bequeath to my well beloved Daughter Ann my Cupboard.

2nd Also, I leave or allow to my daughter Sarah my Ring and my Table—And my Daughter Ann to give in Wheat five Shillings to Sarah.

3rd Also my son Robert has received my part of a Scein already which I allow for his share.

4th Also I leave to Margaret my Daughter my Chest & Hackle.

5th I leave to Elizabeth my daughter one Pot one Wheel Settled-Bed.

6th Also to my daughter Jane I allow one Cow over & above as a gratuity given by her late Father on her Marriage Day[.] I also give to my Said Daughter Jane the square Table one Pot & a Teakettle

7th I also bequeath to my GrandDaughter Elisabeth my Bed & Bedding & all my Crockery and Lookingglass.

8th I also bequeath confirm and make over & good all these part or parts of Lands and all that appertaineth thereunto affixed such as any house and land of which I make my son William my heir of which he has got also a conveyance from me and my husband Robert Flowers his father. Given under my hand this Twenty Eighth day of January,1832 two Witnesses present
